De Casino behoort als Neoromaans gebouw met Neoclassistische elementen onmiskenbaar tot het stedelijk patrimonium van Sint-Niklaas en kan met het stadhuis, de religieuze gebouwen, enkele kastelen en burgerhuizen in de stad tot het voornaamste stedelijke, architecturale erfgoed gerekend worden. During that time Sint Niklaas was a trader’s hub and this hotel was a main junction for the traders for dining and lodging. Today the Hotel New Flanders is revitalized with a fresh renovation to offer you a luxury experience in this very historic building. Sportkring Nieuwkerken Sint-Niklaas (SKN Sint-Niklaas, vroeger SK Sint-Niklaas, FCN Sint-Niklaas of FC Nieuwkerken) is een Belgische voetbalclub uit Nieuwkerken-Waas.De club werd in 1993 opgericht, sloot aan bij de KBVB en kreeg stamnummer 9264 en heeft geel-blauwe kleuren. De club klom in acht jaar tijd op tot in de nationale voetbalreeksen. Tijdens de Vredefeesten wordt in De Casino een nieuwe montage geprojecteerd over de bevrijding van de stad. Authentieke archiefbeelden en getuigenissen van Sint-Niklazenaren roepen de sfeer op die begin september 1944 in de stad voelbaar was.De Casino St Niklaas 20/11/2019
